ACADEMIC POSTS VACANCIES AT THE QUEEN’S UNIVERSITY BELFAST SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

(ranked =19 in the word) is currently inviting applications for its
prestigious Illuminate Fellowship, a pathway to a permanent academic
position.

Illuminate Pharmacy Fellows (4 positions) will lead original,
internationally recognized research in areas relevant to pharmaceutical
sciences, biotechnology, or pharmacy practice. Priority areas include (but
are not limited to):

  *   Drug delivery and targeting
  *   Biomaterials
  *   Advanced pharmaceutical manufacture
  *   Drug target identification and validation
  *   Drug discovery and development
  *   Pharmaceutical microbiology and microbiomics
  *   Clinical and community pharmacy practice
  *   Medicines optimisation across primary and secondary care

Fellows will develop and manage major research projects aligned with the
school’s strategic priorities.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a relevant degree and a PhD (or
equivalent), with 2–8 years of postdoctoral experience and a strong
publication record.

Fellowship benefits include:

  *   Membership in the Fellowship Academy, with tailored development,
mentoring, and networking.
  *   A Fellowship Enhancement Award of up to £60,000.
  *   Funding for a full-time PhD studentship.
  *   A competitive salary of £51,016–£62,695, plus generous benefits and
wellbeing support.
  *   A pathway to a permanent academic post upon successful completion of
the fellowship. Fixed term for 3 years with track to a permanent
academic post by the end
of the Fellowship, subject to meeting probationary requirements.
